Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Personas mobile application (the “App”), published by Lev Litvak (the “Developer”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What Personas is

Personas lets you choose fictional characters who send you supportive, warm, or encouraging messages on a schedule, and (on supported devices) reply to messages you write. The App is intended for entertainment and emotional comfort.

The characters are fictional

All characters in the App are fictional. They are not real people, and messages — including AI-generated replies — are produced by software. Any resemblance to a real person is coincidental. Messages do not reflect the views of any real individual.

Important. Personas is not a counseling, therapy, medical, or crisis service, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are struggling emotionally or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency or crisis services. In the United States you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Do not rely on the App in an emergency.

Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age required by the App’s App Store age rating and by applicable law in your country to use the App. Some characters contain mature (18+) content.

Subscriptions (Personas Pro)

Premium features are available through the Personas Pro auto-renewable subscription.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription automatically renews for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renew, in your device’s App Store account settings.
Prices are shown in the App prior to purchase and may change; any change applies to future billing periods.

Purchases through the App Store are also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, including: attempting to reverse engineer, disrupt, or interfere with the App; using it for unlawful purposes; or attempting to access systems or data you are not authorized to access.

Intellectual property

The App, its characters, message content, design, and software are owned by the Developer or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App’s content.

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or appropriate for your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or emotional-distress damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature, and may update these Terms, at any time. The “Last updated” date reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Developer’s place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.
